| Article 106 Environmental Reviews are required for lots of things. This is where you come to learn about them, and how to get one. The Review Process A certificate of compatability is required for all exterior changes visible from the public right of way, new construction or demolition, or signage within thevictorian district boundaries. The process begins with an Application Submittal. For minor items, such as existing item repairs, color change, and the like, the City Preservation Officer can issue the Certificate ofCompatability, more complex items or new construction from the ground up and requests for demolition of historic structures require approval of the Metropolitan Planning Commission. The Metropolitan Planning Commission meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 1:30 pm in the Metropolitan Planning Commission's Arthur A. Mendonsa Hearing Room. The meeting is open and the public is welcome to attend and comment.
