The Southeast Chatham County Community includes most of the unincorporated area east of the City of Savannah and south of the Islands Community. A new plan for this area was adopted by Chatham County in April, 2003, and contains a wide range of zoning amendments, as well as the strategies to manage growth in the community.
West Chatham Community Plan
The West Chatham Community is a relatively large area to the west of the City of Savannah that is not within the city limits of Bloomingdale, Garden City, Pooler or Port Wentworth. A plan for this area was prepared in conjunction with preparation of the Tricentennial Plan.
