Ms. Birge will be giving a presentation on the history of Pennyworth Island, recently purchased by Chatham County, through the Resource Protection Commission. Pennyworth Island will be nominated for designation as a historic property on the National Register of Historic Places and the Chatham County Register of Historic Places in the coming months.
