The CORE MPO is responsible for maintaining an MTP outlining goals and objectives, as well as addressing transportation related issues and impacts over a 20-year minimum horizon. The MTP is federally-mandated and complies with the Statewide and Metropolitan Transportation Planning regulations issued by the US Department of Transportation.
The CORE MPO and our regional planning partners worked together to create a Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) that identifies projects and funding sources to help create a transportation system that is safe, efficient, and equitable for everyone. The MTP is a comprehensive “blueprint” for area transportation services aimed at meeting mobility needs through the next 20+ years. The current MTP, Total Mobility 2045, was adopted by the Board on August 7th, 2019.
